No doubt it hasn’t escaped people’s notice that there has been a fantastic performance of Disney’s High School Musical recently.I’m sure everyone who managed to get tickets would agree that all those involved did the school proud.
We enjoyed some amazing performances from:
Megan Parsons Yr 8 (Gabriella): many a heart broke ever time she sang!
James Brown Yr 8 (Troy): if the reaction of the female members of the cast is anything to go by, a new heart-throb is born!!
Chloe Myhill Yr 10 (Sharpay): what a voice! Who needs a microphone?!
George Drewry Yr 8 (Ryan): singing, dancing, acting…who knew?!
Claire Willis Yr 10 (Taylor): what a strong lead! Do not mess with this girl!!
Beccy Rothwell Yr 10 (Miss Darbus): seriously got into the bossy, arty teacher type (can’t imagine who she was modelling the character on!?)
Will Brown Yr 11 (Coach Bolton): the anger, the aggression, the shouting…again, can’t imagine who was the inspiration for the character!!
Craig Bishop Yr 9 (Jack Scott): I’m not sure where Bish ended and Jack started but my word he was funny!
Michelle Rowley Yr 11 (Kelsi): great on stage and kept me in my place at rehearsals!
Sam Groom Yr 9 (Chad): an understated but very amusing performance
It goes without saying that the long, gruelling rehearsals were definitely worth it in the end and I’d like to thank all the staff and pupils involved on and off stage (particularly for putting up with my little ‘arty’ rants…)
Well done everyone – you’ve made a lot of people very happy!
